mtn space is pleased to present Erica Prince, It Takes YEARS to Grow A Pineapple, the artist’s first solo exhibition at the gallery and in South Florida. The opening reception will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 6–8 PM at 111 N. M Street, Lake Worth Beach, FL. The gallery will be open from 10 AM onward, welcoming early visitors throughout the day. While a few materials note a 5 PM start time, we invite guests to arrive whenever it best suits their evening.
Playful, floral, and unapologetically feminine, Prince’s exhibition unfolds as a meditation on nature and mono no aware—the tender awareness of impermanence. Marking a pivotal synthesis of her sculptural and two-dimensional practices, this body of work explores care, time, and regeneration. Through arrangements that blur the line between object and offering, Prince transforms the motif of the flower into both gesture and metaphor, evoking the cyclical rhythms of bloom, decay, and renewal.
The pathways that led Erica Prince and Melissa Delprete to South Florida, and into a mutual orbit of art, will look familiar to any local transplant with a story to tell about how they got here. But the bond between these two artists runs deeper than geography. Prince, a full-time faculty member at Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, and Delprete, owner of mtn space art gallery in Lake Worth Beach, have found life experiences in common and intersecting views on art and the value of building community around their work.
