We are pleased to bring together artists, Pamela Melvin, Steven Cabral, River Huston, and Amy Medford for a group show, “INTERIORS”.Reflecting on the physical and metaphorical, this show will explore various interpretations of interiors, the spaces we both imagine and occupy.
Bringing together three artists, with immersive bodies of work, we wanted this group show to reflect various interpretations of paradise. Within the exhibition we have the narratives of Enid Blechman's Red Divers of the Everglades, Magnus Soda min's dense and profound paintings sanctifying the natural world, and Seung Lee's ethereal mise-en-scenes created with experimental drawing techniques. Nature as something to protect, as sanctuary, and as inspiration.
Benjamin Burle (right), a fifth generation native Floridian landscape architect, will present a slideshow and salon-style Q&A. A graduate of the landscape architecture master’s program at Florida International University, Burle will discuss the art of native landscape design, as well as custom tree selection and the value it lends to our surrounding wildlife.
This Friday 10/08/21 evening join us for a presentation by Glo Graham Sollecito discussing a diverse range of media — from drawing and painting to printmaking and beyond with a focus on Melissa Meyer, The 9th Street Woman and women and the arts at large. Please bring your own beverage. Standing room only, feel free to bring a pillow or chair for your comfort.
In order to adhere to social distance guidelines, this will be a figurative event at the advent of the opening of our doors. As we do not plan to host a gathering just yet, we very much encourage visits to the space. Entry will be limited and masks will be required.
